   Planta pedis
   Causes:
   - Overwork or overuse
   of the ball of the foot (hike,
   long standing)
   - wrong footwear
   - very overweight
   - Disease of the metatarsophalangeal joints
   (Inflammation, wear and tear, or fractures)
   - gout (deposits of uric acid crystals)
   or rheumatic disease
   - bone tumor
